Our bedtime routine is one of my favourite times of the day. We all sit together on the couch, maybe a story if it’s not too late, sing 2 songs for Daisy (usually I see The Moon & Daisy, Daisy) and 2 for Polly (Miss Polly had a Dolly & Twinkle, Twinkle). Then we each take a turn in saying ‘Love you more than….’ and this is where the idea comes along. I’ve done a few sketches but I am still trying to come up with ideas for more loves.
Daddy I love you more than… all the fish in all the ponds and streams and rivers and oceans and seas in the whole wide world.
Daddy I love you more than… a million, billion, trillion sweets and treats and lollypops and cakes and biccies in all the shops in the whole wide world.
Daddy I love you more than… all the stars and moons and comets and planets in all the solar systems in the whole wide universe.
Daddy I love you more than… all the nursery rhymes and stories and songs and poems in all the books in all the libraries in the whole wide world.
Sketches are still a bit rough and the coloured version was just me playing around in Photoshop. Hope you enjoy them.
