More character building!!!!

ThreadlessFail
Well…I tried again to get a design up for Threadless voting.
The brief was to create a super cat design.  In honour of Adopt a Shelter Cat month, they challenged artists to design super cat tee.
This was my idea. unfortunately another…thanks but no thanks email.
I was a bit unsure about the text myself. Never mind…onward and upward!

Mixing it up

meandgirls
I’ve been thinking of doing a bit of experimenting with some new mediums. I did this sketch and thought I might crack out my watercolours and have a play. It’s only been 15 years since I last had a go….I may be a bit rusty!!! Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Socks…just what Dads dreams about on Fathers Day…don’t they?????!!!

fathersdayBeen managing to do  bit of doodling this week but need to clean them up a bit first.
I also decided to upload a Fathers Day card design to Redbubble. I have a few ideas in the process so hopefully I can find sometime to upload them in the next week.

A Special Gift for a Special kind of family

2men&baby
I’ve been working on a commission for my friend Paula this week.
Two male friends of hers who have been together for 20 years are expecting their first child via a surrogate. Great news for any couple in love so I set to work and created this image. I have uploaded it to my Redbubble account where it can be printed on a simple greeting card or as a wiz-bang framed print. I have also decided to turn this design into a series to suit all families no matter what their configuration even those with babies who have fur!

Textures, Brushes and Layer Effects.

I love Photoshop. No surprise there.
The problem is… I seem to just use the tools I am comfortable with which probably only scratches the surface of what I could do.
To rectify this I have been playing around with textures, brushes and layer effects. Lots of fun and can turn a scrappy little doodle I did into something way more interesting.
